I can't overstate how excited I am for the new Torment. I've been waiting for this and I'm even more impressed by what they're showing now than I was expecting. It's currently sitting at $1.7 million and it still has 29 days to go. A lot of people must feel the same way, because Torment's reached its $900,000 funding goal in just 6 hours. Planescape: Torment's spiritual sequel by a team who worked on and loved the original? Sign me the fuck up. The best ending is the one you choose, flowing naturally from your actions throughout the game. Most important, we won't tell you how to play. You can play the game with a different approach and discover entirely new pathways. The game emphasizes replayability and reactivity, and your choices will make a real difference. Reactivity, Choice, and Real Consequences. The story is thoughtful and character-driven-epic in feel but a deeply personal narrative, with nontraditional characters and companions who have their own motivations and desires that drive them throughout the game. In Numenera, however, 'magic' is actually something surprisingly different. The game has a fantastic, original setting, with awe-inspiring painterly visuals, imaginative locations, truly offbeat items, and massive feats of magic. Your words, choices, and actions will be your primary weapons. The philosophical underpinnings of Torment drive the game, both mechanically and narratively.
